Tools and Equipment Needed for Aircon Set-Up
Checklist of tools and materials used in typical Philippine window and split aircon installations — for homeowners reviewing a quoted install.

You do not need to own a vacuum pump — but knowing the kit helps you spot unfinished installs and negotiate fair labor.
Common installer kit
- Drill / hole saw for pipe chase
- Level and measuring tape
- Vacuum pump + manifold gauges (split refrigerant work)
- Flaring tools and torque wrenches for copper flares
- Insulation tape / rubber insulation for suction lines
- Outdoor bracket or pad materials
- Electrical testers and correct wire
- Condensate drain hose and sealants
- Window kit / accordion panels (portable / some windows)
Red flags
